The mission of Awaso Hope Foundation is to support the needs of Awaso Academy, a pre-k through 9th grade school, in order to provide high quality education that will allow these students to thrive in a global economy.
Enrollment for 2016-2017
There are currently 277 students from nursery to 6th grade (129 boys and 148 girls). There are 32 new nursery students.
Junior High Construction
Construction of the Junior High is scheduled to be completed by April or May of 2017. 7th graders will begin classes in the new building in Fall 2017.
Current crops grown include corn, cassava, plantains and beans. Will plant other vegetables including cabbage, okra, and green pepper soon. There are 600 chickens, 23 goats, and 10 turkeys. Egg surpluses are sold to support the farm. Harvested corn is used as feed for the chickens.
We welcome all volunteers to help support Awaso Academy. We need sponsorships of students because it is the main source of revenue for the academy. In addition, supply drives of school supplies and sporting equipment are a great way to support the school. Call 650-823-6119 for more information.
